Chalee Lynn Page

My favorite time of year has always been fall and I think Chalee is following in my footsteps.  She loves to throw the leaves and is very excited about being a mouse for Halloween.  We had a special halloween day where we carved pumpkins and watched halloween shows.  We even let Daddy open his birthday presents early.  A feast of Pork was prepared and was splendid!  Trick or Treating this year was a lot of fun, and we had really great weather for it.  This year we made it about the same distance down the street as last year, but Chalee was willing to ring the bells and say trick-or-treat all on her own.  We got to a haunted house with a boy dressed up like a werewolf and that was that.  The kid took of his mask thinking that Chalee would be less frightened, but Chalee was repulsed and wanted to go.  She exclaimed to her daddy that “there was a man in that dog.”  After we got back to my parents, Chalee helped to hand out candy and followed my Dad around the yard yelling “ROARR!!!” and hiding behind bushes.  See the pics here!

Chalee and Gavin recently started soccer.  It has been really fun watching them interact with each other and others on the field.  Every week Chalee asks about soccer and we have to use it as a way for her to gage her week.  “In two more days we will go to soccer…In One more day we will go to soccer.”  She is very proud of being number 7!  Her favorite activity is the parachute, which of course has little to do with soccer…but hey it is fun.  Daddy and Mommy take turns with her on the field and then we usually have a good lunch afterwards.  We take off our soccer jersey and shoes immediately so they remain something of a treat.  See some pics here.

Chalee and I added a new member to our family this week.  Chalee’s first kitty known simply to her as New Kitty.  His real name is Neo and he is a rascal!  The other cats don’t seem to be fans right now, but I think they will warm up and Chalee is just enamoured.  He likes to sleep on the big oscar dog in the spare room, and he nuzzles it and makes suckling noises like he is nursing.  It is very cute.
