She is such a beautiful disaster! I can’t believe she can already feed herself as well as she does. We still have to put the food on the spoon, but she will take it and shovel it in her mouth as fast as you can get it to her. Some of it makes it…the rest she eats off her hands!I’ve been wondering who this little kid is and where my baby went!
So after months of sketching and painting and purchasing…the play room is finally finished. A big thanks to Aunt Pammy for spending long nights to help me get it finished. I am happy with the way it came out…but will seriously think twice before doing another mural any time soon. Chalee really seems to like it, and it is awesome to have a place that is completely child proof and safe for her to play.(Well, as safe as you can get when your kids are learning to stand.) Already we have had a few head bonks and some tears. She is getting very courageous and is all over the place talking to her animals and tossing around toys. She is trying to figure out how to get on and off the bed with out flipping on her head. We even took a little nap in there the other day, just the two of us. Here are some pics of the room(there are still a few touchups that need to be done but I got tired of painting) and also of Chalee playing in the ball containers.
Chalee just hit 8 months last week and lots of new things are happening. She went from rocking on her knees to a full out crawl in what seemed like just days. Man is she fast! She sees a kitty or doggy and she is off, hot on their tails! She also got her second tooth two weeks ago…Daddy found it while he was getting her ready to go to the sitter. He made up his own little song for her! Two teeth…two teeth…Chalee’s got two teeth. Here are some photos of her crawling and then a failed attempt at getting a picture of that tooth. That proved to be more difficult than expected, she always puts her tongue in the way…so I guess you’ll have to take our word for it!
Some cute pics of Chalee wrestling with the bear Aunt Michelle and Uncle Scotty got her. It is twice her size…but she grabs it and rolls over so it is on top of her and then she laughs and kicks at it.
